About
I build tools, automate processes and keep systems running. Started in 3D animation, which is more technical than it sounds, and that's where programming began for me. I've been gravitating toward the infrastructure and systems side ever since.
After that I worked in production studios, doing pipeline work but also handling IT more broadly. Keeping workstations running, managing backups, license servers and networking alongside writing Python tooling and Bash scripts for file management. The kind of work that sits across software and infrastructure, making sure everything stays operational.
I run a home server for self-hosted services, which keeps me honest on the infrastructure side. Networking, hardware, Linux. I find that stuff genuinely interesting rather than just necessary. Most of my work sits somewhere between software and systems and that's where I like to be.
Outside of work I shoot photography, mostly landscapes and street. I enjoy hiking, which conveniently gives me plenty of both. And like a lot of people in this field, I grew up gaming and never really stopped.

Developing and maintaining the in-house production pipeline for a studio of 50+ artists. Python/Qt tooling and scripting for file I/O, FTP transfers and asset management, API integrations with ShotGrid and Deadline for job scheduling and production tracking. Also handled pipeline troubleshooting and technical support for artists across the studio.

Built a component-based design system in React and TypeScript, a library of composable components wired up to TinaCMS so non-technical teams could manage content without touching code.

Developed front-end functionality for dekamarkt.nl and dirk.nl, two of the Netherlands' largest supermarket chains. Work included GraphQL API integrations, CMS connectivity, SEO improvements and performance optimisation across high-traffic pages.

The OutpostUtrechtHandled all IT for the studio, workstations, backups, license server, software updates and networking. Also built the studio's first pipeline from scratch, a Python/PyQt tool in Maya for tracking assets and automating handoffs between artists, plus a Flask/MongoDB/SQL app for production tracking.
